Availability and Booking
There are over 1,200 campsites on our grounds. Because of this large number, we welcome campers year-round but only make reservations for Wheel Jam (Coyote Campground only) and the South Dakota State Fair. Campers may pay at the payment kiosks in the campgrounds or at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds office, Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. Payment can be made by cash, check, or via credit card over the phone but cannot be done more than a week in advance of arrival.
During the winter season there are limited amenities available. It is recommended that all campers in the winter season stay in Coyote Corner. The water lines are shut off (date determined by weather) but the sewer dumps at each site will remain open. The bath house in Coyote Corner is heated and will remain open throughout the entire year. It will be locked, but all campers will be given the electronic keypad code to enter. All other bath houses in our other campgrounds will be locked during the winter season.
