The State Fair is currently hiring for the following:

Horizons Hall Building Superintendent (seasonal)
Seasonal employment, minimal hours January through June with more hours July through fair. $15.75/hr. Manage and oversee the Horizons Hall Building during the SD State Fair to ensure fair-time activities and responsibilities are well-planned and implemented. This includes managing competitive entries/exhibits, securing judges, assisting vendors, establishing a schedule, arranging some special events, and more.

Seasonal positions - will start hiring in the spring for 2025 State Fair
Put some extra cash in your pocket! Be a part of a time-honored tradition and be instrumental in the success of the annual State Fair.   The SD State Fair hires for special events and fair week; position availability varies! Positions are open in the following areas: Maintenance, gate admission, beer garden, tap haus, wine pavilion, trolley, grandstand, security, and cattle crossing guard. Hours vary, pay rate varies.
