Delta Dental Educational Activity

Jean Gross, RDH is a registered dental hygienist and regional educator for Delta Dental of South Dakota Foundation with more than 45 years of experience in dentistry. She earned her dental assisting degree from Lake Area Technical College and her dental hygiene degree from the University of South Dakota.

Throughout her career, Jean has dedicated herself to improving oral health through education, prevention, and community partnerships. She provides training for medical and dental professionals, works with schools and community organizations across South Dakota, and advocates for integrating oral health into overall health care.

Jean was named South Dakota Hygienist of the Year in 2017 and received the Champion Award from the South Dakota Diabetes Coalition for her work promoting the connection between oral health and diabetes. She is also an honorary member of the South Dakota Dental Association and serves on several advisory boards and coalitions focused on children's health, oral health, and community wellness.

Passionate about prevention and education, Jean believes that a healthy mouth is the foundation for a healthy body and is committed to helping South Dakotans of all ages achieve better oral and overall health.
