She will talk about websites, pros and cons of online research, and foundations for internet research. This program is Thursday at 10 am.

She will walk you through what DNA is and what it means and how she found a cousin by doing Her DNA.

2 pm - Iron Crosses - Yvonne Haefner
Yvonne Haefner from Mobridge, SD, is a South Dakota Genealogist, member of the South Dakota Genealogy Society and German from Russia Heritage Society will present a program on “Iron Crosses,” on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Those Iron Crosses dot the landscape of South Dakota. Blacksmiths who immigrated from Russia in the early 1800’s brought with them the skill of making iron crosses out of scrap metal. They learned blacksmithing apprenticing with another blacksmith for years.
