Since his debut to country music in the early 90's Kershaw's plan has been to recapture the spirit that made country music great. "Country music is not a formula, it's a music with its own soul, "said Kershaw in a recent national interview. CHEAP TRICK may be one of the most covered bands of all time. Since the 70s they’ve been blending elements of pop, punk and even metal in a way that is instantly catchy and recognizable. With timeless classics such as “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” and the late 80s lighter-waving favorite, “The Flame,” CHEAP TRICK are a musical institution. Anyone familiar with Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report will note that CHEAP TRICK wrote and performed the theme song.

The Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975. The band was originally a blend of musicians who had enjoyed success in Australia. Coming together there new focus was to get airplay on American radio, and they achieved that goal with good songwriting, powerful vocals, and guitar harmonies. They immediately claimed their place as one of the great vocal bands of the ‘70s…and the ‘80s.

Kory and the Fireflies
Sunday, September 4 - 6:30 pm
Kory and the Fireflies create what's been described as "pop rock with punch". They've toured with Goo Goo Dolls, Sugar Ray and Smash Mouth and supported over forty more national acts including Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock and many others. The band has also achieved airplay and videoplay in all 50 states with their nationally released singles, "Sometimes", "Pop Fly" and "Everyone."

Dakota State Fair Speedway Stock Car Races
Monday, September 5 - 5:00 pm
Dakota State Fair Speedway is one of the top stock car racing facilities in the upper Midwest. Located at the SD State Fairgrounds, the 3/8 mile oval track features five different divisions that compete on a weekly basis throughout the summer. The speedway also features special races throughout the year such as the Challenge Cup featureing late models at their best. Also featured are the ASCS National sprints, the 4th of July spectacular and the Central Wissota 100 which makes this the most exciting show in the Midwest.
