SD State Fair History

The first State Fair was held September 29 through October 2, 1885. It moved around to various cities throughout South Dakota until making Huron a permanent home in 1905.

Courtesy Golf Carts

Courtesy golf carts are available during the State Fair. They are free to ride and anyone can ride them.  The carts are located at all gates and at random places around the fairgrounds as people need them. The courtesy carts are sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and their auxillaries and Huron Regional Medical Center – Here for You!
